Published in Southern Humanities Review! My contributor's copies arrived in mail today, and i am really really happy. i am trying to send out more work to print journals, although, i Love online journals myself, being the editor of one, a supporter of open access and all that. But, i also love the book. The book as an artifact. And there is something about holding open a book, a print journal, sitting in a cafe or a balcony, sipping on tea and coffee and reading one. But, this one is especially important for me, since a lot of the contemporary poets, including Natasha Tretheway, whose work i love love love, have been published here. on a more personal note, trying to draft a new poem. it's coming slow, and i don't yet feel that mojo, but i am working on it! seeing my name in print today actually helped. this little affirmation -- maybe this is all going somewhere?
